"Story Synopsis (key point)"

"Jacob Bearclaw works for his family’s business as a co-owner of the hunting cabins they rent out to various trappers and hunters each season. He has always dreamt of finding his soulmate one day but is afraid to try more modern methods, until he matches with the MC. The relationship begins sweetly, but his temper hides the desire growing for MC. The MC is cautious at first but quickly begins to fall for Jacob. Later, he invites MC to his family's property for a relaxing weekend, but things quickly get out of hand as a rival tribe try to burn the cabins down with the MC inside one. Jacob is there to save the MC, of course, but he had to show a side of himself he wasn’t sure MC was ready for.

Now that MC has seen the bear side, Jacob must prove to MC that he is more than the bear and he is more than the beastly anger that he is prone to. While MC tries to help Jacob get the cabins back up and running before the next big hunting season, they continue to have strained communication. Jacob must learn to be vulnerable and trust MC, or the relationship may not last. Just when Jacob thinks MC’s patience is about to run out, they find out that the rival tribe is supporting poaching instead of ethical hunting practices.

During their journey to prove that the other tribe is supporting poaching they learn about MC’s ancestry that proves the bond Jacob and MC feel is more than emotional it is a supernatural bond that is special between him the next leader of his tribe and MC the descendent of the tribe’s healer. Making their relationship even more important for Jacob’s tribe because they have been without a healer since the one had been murdered many moons ago. "

Major Event

MC is able to handle Jacob's anger from the moment they met, and it makes him so intrigued about MC that he begins to wonder if there isn't something supernatural at play.

Chapter 1

Beginning MC and Jacob match. Jacob begins the conversation by asking her if she is a vegan.

Process Jacob and MC converse about the ups and downs of enjoying a good meal with meat in it and quickly find they are able to have in depth conversation with ease. They talk about their dream relationship and intimately discuss the kind of life they both would love to have, and it starts to line up more and more. MC finds Jacob more intriguing.

Ending Jacob asks MC on a date to a restaurant in the outskirts of the city that makes some of the best lamb stew.

Chapter 2

Beginning Jacob is waiting for MC at the door of the restaurant. MC is taken aback by his strong presence but something about his smile when he opens the door for MC.

Process While they are seated and waiting for their meal they talk about basic getting to know eachother topics. When MC asks about Jacob's family his eyes light up and his smile widens. His deep voice brings life to his stories about his family. MC is asked to share a family memory and MC ends up telling a somewhat sad vulnerable memory. The memory and sad feeling is interrupted by food being brought to the table but Jacob reaches out to lay his hand on MC's hand in comfort letting MC know he was listening and is there. They begin to compare the stew to their opinionated list (from chapter 1 conversations) and find that in the process they just keep finding a reason to stare into eachother's eyes.

Ending Jacob's phone rings, the date ends somewhat abruptly he tells her she can stay and have more he already paid for the bill and leaves. MC wants answers.

They go back and forth with some implied romantic intimacy. MC has options on how to respond to be a little more spicy or flirty. Jacob asks MC's opinion on hunting. They discuss it a few minutes.

Ending Jacob has to suddenly leave and take care of something. He apologizes but has got to go.

The Conversation I wrote for this exercise:

Jacob: Hey.

Jacob: You aren’t a vegan, are you?

MC: Hi!

A1: No? Should I be?

A2: Why? Is that a deal breaker?

 A1:

Jacob: Oh, definitely not! I had to be sure I wasn’t walking into… Jacob: Anyway, what’s your favorite meat in a meal?

MC: Walking into what?

MC: I’m not sure I can let you off the hook so easily.

A2:

Jacob: I guess I could deal with it if it’s the right person.

MC: What if that right person is me?

Jacob: Well, starting off vegan isn’t getting us in the right direction.

MC: Why does it matter if I’m vegan or not?

Jacob: I help run my parents’ hunting cabins where we rent out the cabins for hunters and trappers.

Jacob: I enjoy hunting too.

MC: Oh, it makes more sense now.

MC: Well, I hate to tell you, but I love a good meal with some animal protein in it.

Jacob: What is your favorite dish?

B1: Lamb Stew is divine!

B2: Is this my next test?

 B1:

Jacob: I love a properly cooked Lamb stew with great seasoning and juices in the Lamb pieces.

MC: Look at this, we already have so much in common!

Jacob: We appear to have much in common.

Jacob: There isn’t anything like hunting your own meal though.

B2:

Jacob: Hmmm, do you want it to be?

MC: That depends on what is my prize when I pass the test?

Jacob: When, you pass the test?

Jacob: A bit sure that you will pass, why?

MC: Well, a person must be sure of something right?

MC: Maybe, I am sure of you.

MC: Have you always enjoyed hunting?

Jacob: At first? No, but as I got older yeah, I really enjoy it now.

MC: What made you change your mind?

Jacob: How about you tell me something you enjoy doing?

MC: Because I asked first.

Jacob: Oh, is that a rule? I was unaware we were playing a game.

MC: I suppose we aren’t playing a game but there are rules to conversation.

MC: However, since you already changed the subject…

MC: Tell me about one of the best meals you have ever had.

Jacob: Okay, that is easy.

Jacob: My mama’s Venison stew on Christmas Eve when I was 11.

MC: What made it special?

Jacob: It was the first deer I had killed that I cleaned and dressed for our family meal.

Jacob: Mama put her special seasonings with the meat adding perfect flavor to it.

Jacob: It wasn’t so much how she cooked it as that I got to help put food on the table for my family that Christmas eve.

C1: Wow! That must have made little Jacob so proud!

C2: That sounds like a dreamy Christmas Eve story.

C1:

Jacob: He was very proud.

Jacob: The venison stew tasted the best that year.

MC: Aww, how cute!

MC: I wish I could have seen that!

Jacob: Maybe one day you can.

MC: How would I see that?

Jacob: Uhm, let us see how things go.

C2:

Jacob: I don’t know about dreamy, but the stew was amazing.

Jacob: Do you have a memory of the best meal you ever had?

MC: Yeah, I have a special memory of the best meal I have ever had.

MC: One year during my birthday, my Granny made the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten.

Jacob: Why is that one special?

MC: Because it was the last one, she ever made me.

MC: You know what I find interesting about our talk of meals?

Jacob: What? That I love Venison Stew and you love cake?

MC: No!

MC: That we both had memories connecting to these meals that made them seem better than any others we ever had or will have.

MC: At least until a new memory makes a place in our hearts.

Jacob: I just realized, are you the kid I used to play with on the weekends when you would come see your grandparents?

Jacob: You would come over every weekend and we would play outside all day together then one weekend you stopped.

Jacob: Then new people moved in next door a couple months later.

MC: Yeah, that was me! You have grown into quite the strapping man.

MC: My gramps died, and granny came to live with us a few more years until she needed special living.

MC: But I really loved your place and the land we played on.

MC: I have fond memories of you too.

Jacob: I love the sound of making new memories with someone special, like you.

Jacob: Especially if it’s about food too.

Jacob: Do you have a dream relationship?

D1: I hope you don’t have a food fetish or something.

D2: I have had many dreams about relationships.

D1:

Jacob: Do you want someone who has a food fetish?

MC: No thanks.

MC: I draw the line there. Jacob: I guess it is good I am here to save you from all the food fetish fiends out there!

MC: Oh, is that what you are to do?

MC: Food fetishes never crossed my mind until I met you.

D2:

MC: I have a feeling I may start new dreams tonight.

Jacob: Want to tell me about this new dream?

MC: I suspect it will be about this man who likes to hunt and eat.

Jacob: I do enjoy talking to you too.

MC: I guess I can dream about more conversations we will have too.

MC: I want to live off the land one day with my future
husband.

MC: I want us to have a life full of love and adventure

MC: Laughing through each mishap that may come our way.

MC: What do you dream of?

Jacob: I have longed for someone who I can share this life with.

Jacob: Perhaps laughing about burnt food mishaps.

MC: Why burnt food?

MC: What are you trying to say?

Jacob: Nothing!

Jacob: All this talk about food makes me crave this local restaurant I love to go to.

Jacob: Would you want to go there?

Jacob: They make the best Lamb Stew.

E1: Well now I must go and test it.

E2: I doubt they do the best Lamb Stew.

E1:

Jacob: How does tomorrow night sound?

Jacob: Meet you there at 6:00 PM?

MC: That sounds wonderful.

E2:

Jacob: Well, you can’t take my word for it.

Jacob: You will have to come find out.

MC: What do I get if it isn’t the best Lamb Stew?

Jacob: Hmm, I will have to think about that IF you believe it isn’t the best.

Jacob: Meet you there tomorrow at 6:00 PM?

MC: Okay, you have a deal meet you then.
